The history of ARDias goes back 3 generations linked with cork.

The acronym ARDias comes from the founder’s name, António Rodrigues Dias, who is the father of the current company director.

Founded in 1958 as a family business, ARDias has always been focused on the production of natural cork stoppers for wines.

The family environment, and the close relationship with clients, partners and employees has always underscored the way the company operates in the market.

With more than 60 years of experience, it started by producing natural cork stoppers for the domestic market. However, the foreign market has always been its goal and today countries like Italy, France, Spain and Germany represent more than 90 % of the company’s turnover.

This achievement is in great part owed to the company’s constant investment in innovation on manufacturing processes.

At ARDias we work to be at the forefront of the industry when it comes to technology and sustainability.

In recent years, ARDias has stood out for its know-how and strong investment in research and development into techniques to improve the functional quality of the cork stopper, as a wine stopper (food product).
